About The Position
AutoZone store teams provide customer service and help customers find the right automotive parts and solutions. Store employees maintain inventory, assist with product selection, provide advice, support sales and store operations, and foster a knowledgeable retail environment. The Retail Sales Associate delivers WOW! Customer Service, exceeds customer expectations, and contributes to a positive shopping experience. The role supports customers with automotive parts and services, helps achieve sales goals, maintains store operations, and offers opportunities for career growth in an essential industry.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a flexible full-time schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates to create a motivated, productive store environment; support team members and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions to enhance the customer experience and contribute to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock and organize merchandise, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention policies, and support smooth store operations.
- Use established processes to complete assigned tasks efficiently and follow safety policies, including use of personal protective equipment.
- Keep up to date on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
