Retail Sales Associate – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone’s store teams deliver customer service by helping customers find automotive parts and solutions, maintaining inventory, and supporting store operations. The Retail Sales Associate helps exceed customer expectations by providing automotive advice, recommending products and promotions, and contributing to sales and store performance. The role also includes restocking merchandise, maintaining store organization, following point-of-sale and loss-prevention procedures, complying with safety policies, learning about parts and promotions, and using diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old to apply.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates to support a motivated, productive store environment and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock and organize merchandise and follow point-of-sale procedures and loss-prevention policies.
- Complete assigned tasks using established processes and follow company safety policies, including using personal protective equipment.
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
