About The Position

Verizon is hiring a full-time Retail Sales Associate to work onsite at a defined retail location. The role focuses on driving retail sales and providing exceptional customer service by understanding customer needs, recommending complete technology solutions, and communicating clearly to close sales. Associates develop their product and operational knowledge through ongoing training and may build their customer base through outreach and community events. The role offers hourly base pay plus individual sales commissions. The stated starting base pay rate for the location listed on the requisition is $19.71 per hour; the broader posting describes base pay of $16.00 to $21.00 per hour, with commissions based on performance. Compensation varies by geography, hours worked, and performance.

The position is worksite-based, with 40 scheduled hours per week. Associates must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and may have opportunities to pick up additional shifts during busy periods. Schedules are provided four weeks in advance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Openness to picking up additional shifts, typically during summer, November through December, and/or peak vacation periods.

Responsibilities

• Generate retail sales by using knowledge of technology and providing exceptional customer service.
• Identify customer needs by building connections and asking relevant questions.
• Recommend products and solutions that address customer needs with a complete sales solution.
• Close sales through clear communication and intuitive technology solutions.
• Develop product knowledge and operational skills through ongoing training, including merchandising and inventory functions.
• Build the customer base by placing outbound calls and sending text messages to Verizon customers interested in products and services.
• Engage with the community outside the store, including at Verizon-sponsored events.
