Retail Sales Associate
About The Position
As a full-time Verizon Retail Sales Associate, you’ll work with a team in a Verizon retail store to drive sales and help customers find technology products and services that meet their needs. The role includes learning about customer needs, recommending complete solutions, closing sales, and developing skills in merchandising and inventory operations. You may also contact current Verizon customers by phone or text and participate in Verizon-sponsored events outside the store to build customer relationships. The position is onsite at a defined work location and is scheduled for 40 hours per week. The role offers a base pay rate that varies by location, with the stated starting rate for the location listed on the requisition at $18.27 per hour. The posting also describes a general base-pay range of $16.00 to $21.00 per hour, plus individual commissions based on sales performance. Employees may have opportunities to earn additional income by exceeding sales goals or picking up shifts during busy periods. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of relevant experience, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; schedules are provided four weeks in advance.
- Willingness to pick up additional shifts, typically during summer, November through December, and/or peak vacation periods.

Responsibilities
- Generate retail sales by using technology knowledge and customer service.
- Identify customer needs by building connections and asking questions.
- Recommend products and solutions that address customer needs.
- Close sales through clear communication and intuitive technology solutions.
- Participate in ongoing training and develop skills in merchandising and inventory operations.
- Place outbound calls and send text messages to current Verizon customers interested in products and services.
- Engage with the community at off-site Verizon-sponsored events to expand the customer base.
