About The Position

Great Floors is seeking a motivated and results-oriented Retail Sales Associate to support our Bellingham, WA location. In this role, you will focus on identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and contributing to revenue growth while upholding our company's high standards of service and quality. The primary responsibilities include listening to the customer to identify their flooring needs, consummating sales, and processing payments according to established credit policies. You will also facilitate all communications, logistics, and transactional items for orders to ensure customer satisfaction, grow retail business through relationship development and follow-up, and prospect for new business opportunities from various sources such as referrals, Real Estate Agents, owner builders, remodelers, insurance and restoration leads, and past customers. The role requires meeting or exceeding company sales goals, developing an understanding of company policies (accounting, credit, job management), and supporting the company's strengths in product offerings, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

Proven sales performer.
Competitive, self-motivated, and highly accountable.
Comfortable owning the full cycle: prospect - bid - close - execute - retain.
Motivated by growth and opportunity — not maintenance.
Ability to present and articulate points clearly and effectively.
Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Computer literate and proficient in MS Office – Excel, Outlook, Word.
Must possess a valid driver's license and auto insurance for occasional local travel.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the flooring and/or construction industry is a plus but not required.
We are willing to train motivated candidates who demonstrate reliability and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

Listen to the customer, identify a solution for their flooring needs, consummate a sale and take payment for that sale per established credit policy.
Facilitate all communications, logistics and other transactional items on an order, regardless of type or size, to ensure total customer satisfaction.
Grow retail business via relationship development and follow-up.
Prospect for business opportunities: referrals, Real Estate Agents, owner builders, remodelers, insurance and restoration, leads and past Customers, etc.
Meet or exceed company’s established sales goals for your location.
Develop an understanding of the company, accounting and credit policy, and job management.
Support and leverage company’s strengths in product offerings, policies and procedures.
