About The Position

As a Seasonal Retail Selling Colleague at Macy’s, you combine results-driven selling with genuine hospitality to create memorable holiday shopping experiences. You learn what customers need, offer personalized recommendations, and connect them with suitable products and services. You engage customers on the sales floor and in fitting rooms, use product knowledge and smart selling behaviors, and work toward sales goals while building trust and customer loyalty. The role is not limited to cashier duties; customer service is central to the work. You help keep the shopping area clean, organized, and inviting. At the start of the day, you prepare the sales floor, review sales goals, and learn about new arrivals, popular items, trends, and promotions. During the day, you build customer relationships, merchandise new receipts, process damages, testers, and selected merchandise for vendor returns, update signs and pricing, and support merchandise moves. You share loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have what they need, and thank them for their visit. Seasonal colleagues are typically scheduled for 10–20 hours per week. Hours depend on business needs and colleague availability.
