About The Position

Verizon is hiring a full-time Retail Sales Associate to work onsite at a defined retail location. The role focuses on generating sales through technology knowledge and customer service, understanding customer needs, recommending complete product and service solutions, and closing sales. Associates also develop their skills through ongoing training in merchandising and inventory operations. The position may include contacting interested Verizon customers by phone or text and participating in Verizon-sponsored community events outside the store. The schedule is 40 hours per week and is known four weeks in advance. Employees must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays and may have the opportunity to pick up additional shifts, particularly during seasonal peak periods. The position offers base pay of $16.00 to $21.00 per hour, with the potential to earn up to $18,000 per year in individual commissions by meeting sales goals. Top performers may earn additional commissions, with total annual earnings described as $65,000+ to $75,500+. Compensation varies by geography, hours worked, and performance. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is available subject to its terms and conditions. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least one year of relevant experience, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Willingness to pick up additional shifts when available, typically during summer, November through December, and/or peak vacation periods.

Responsibilities

Generate retail sales using knowledge of technology and customer service.
Build connections with customers, ask questions, and identify their needs.
Present product insights and solution recommendations to provide complete sales solutions.
Close sales by communicating effectively and offering simple, intuitive technology solutions.
Participate in ongoing training and develop skills in merchandising and inventory operations.
Potentially place outbound calls and send text messages to current Verizon customers interested in products and services.
Engage with the community at off-site Verizon-sponsored events to expand the customer base.
