About The Position

DICK’S Sporting Goods is hiring a temporary Retail Sales Associate to help create an exceptional shopping experience. Store teammates greet customers, learn what they need, and support their shopping experience through helpful service and product knowledge. They uphold merchandising and presentation standards, promote company programs, follow safety and loss-prevention procedures, and contribute to an inclusive store environment. Associates take an all-hands-on-deck approach to supporting the store team and perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and repeatedly lift items weighing 15 to 35 pounds, up to 25 times per hour.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, up to 4 hours.
Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet using a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform.
Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods, up to 2 hours continuously.

Nice To Haves

Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and proactively approach them to understand their needs and support their shopping experience.
Follow merchandising and presentation standards, including floor sets, signage, price changes, inventory presentation, and replenishment.
Promote company programs, such as customer loyalty participation, warranty sales, and private-label credit card enrollment.
Follow policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures.
Maintain the confidentiality of company information.
Help create an inclusive store environment where teammates and customers feel welcome, safe, and respected.
Support the team across the store as needed.
Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
