Retail Sales Associate Part Time
About The Position
Sun Tan City is looking for a high-energy Retail Sales Associate to join their team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, building client relationships, making product and service recommendations, and meeting sales requirements. The position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for bonuses and advancement. The company is a large, family-owned tanning salon chain with approximately 250 salons across 20 states, part of the Glow Brands family which includes Sun Tan City, Planet Fitness, and Buff City Soap. They employ over 2200 individuals and focus on helping clients look good, feel good, and build confidence through trusted client relationships.
Requirements
- Basic computer skills and knowledge.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment.
- Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes.
- Ability to bend down to pick up trash, towels, etc. from the floors.
- Ability to provide proof of identity and legal work authorization if hired.

Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service by ensuring all client needs are met and they are treated professionally.
- Engage with clients by building good relationships and understanding and meeting their needs.
- Make recommendations for products and services.
- Maintain minimum sales requirements.
- Multi-task, such as cleaning beds as clients leave and engaging new clients upon arrival.
- Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of salon tanning rooms, lobby area, restrooms, laundry, and storage areas.
- Work cohesively with a team in an upbeat and fast-paced salon environment while upholding all company policies and procedures.
- Perform salon cleaning functions including dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, etc.
- Work independently and alone during shifts as business needs require.
