Retail Sales Associate
About The Position
The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The role adheres to operational, merchandising, and loss prevention standards and may involve cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs. Associates model customer experience practices, support a positive store culture, process purchases and returns accurately, and promote credit and loyalty programs. They prepare merchandise for the sales floor, maintain merchandising standards, participate in store recovery and cleanliness, contribute to shrink reduction and safety programs, and follow applicable labor laws, policies, and procedures. Other duties may be assigned. The position is at Sierra Store 0095 in Riverton, Utah, at 4632 West Kestrel Range Road. Starting pay is $13.50 to $14.00 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
- Deliver a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers.
- Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.

- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Follow merchandising philosophy, procedures, and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards, and participate in maintaining the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
