About The Position
The Retail Sales Associate assists Ollie’s customers and helps maintain the store’s appearance. The role is responsible for customer service, merchandising, and store maintenance. Associates are expected to embody Ollie’s core values: teamwork, care, a focus on value, commitment, continuous growth, and honesty. Requirements
- A positive attitude and a team-player approach, with a desire to delight and serve customers.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior retail experience of six months is not required; Ollie’s is happy to train new Associates.
Responsibilities
- Greet and acknowledge every customer using Ollie’s “Yes I Care, Yes I Can” approach to build long-term customer loyalty.
- Manage cash register transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Develop expertise in Ollie’s stores and inventory, including weekly deals and the value offered to customers.
- Assist with freight logistics and learn retail merchandising practices.
- Help maintain the store’s appearance through customer service, merchandising, and store maintenance.
