Retail Sales Associate – Full Time
About The Position
AutoZone store teams provide customer service and help customers find the right parts and solutions for their automotive needs. Store employees maintain stocked inventory, assist with product selection, and provide automotive advice while supporting sales and store operations. The Retail Sales Associate delivers customer service, helps customers select products, contributes to store performance, and supports a positive retail environment. The role includes assisting with certain installations, using diagnostic tools, maintaining merchandise and following store procedures and safety policies.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions to improve the customer experience and contribute to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock and organize merchandise, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures, and support smooth store operations.
- Complete assigned tasks using structured processes and follow company safety policies, including using personal protective equipment.
- Stay up to date on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
