About The Position
AutoZone store teams provide customer service and automotive parts support. Retail Sales Associates help customers find suitable parts and solutions, maintain inventory, support sales, and contribute to a positive retail environment. This role focuses on delivering WOW! Customer Service, exceeding customer expectations, and supporting customers with automotive needs. It offers opportunities for career growth in an essential industry serving the motoring public. The associate works with customers and teammates, recommends products and promotions, helps keep merchandise stocked and organized, and follows store processes and safety policies. The role also includes assisting with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations and using diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates to foster a motivated, productive store environment; support team members and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions to improve the customer experience and contribute to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock merchandise, maintain store organization, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention policies, and support smooth store operations.
- Use structured processes to complete assigned tasks efficiently and follow company safety policies, including use of personal protective equipment.
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
- Lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
