Retail Sales Associate – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone’s store teams are the frontline of WOW! Customer Service. Retail Sales Associates help customers find the right parts and solutions for their automotive needs while maintaining inventory, assisting with product selection, and providing automotive advice. The role contributes to sales and store operations and helps foster a positive, knowledgeable retail environment. Associates recommend products, services, and promotions; keep merchandise stocked and organized; use diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions; and follow company processes and safety policies, including use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old to apply.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates to create a motivated, productive store environment; support team members and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions to enhance customer experience and contribute to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock merchandise, maintain store organization, follow point-of-sale procedures and loss prevention policies, and support proper financial management.
- Use structured processes to complete assigned tasks efficiently and follow company safety policies, including use of PPE.
- Stay up to date on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
- Lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
