Retail Sales Associate – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone’s store teams provide customer service, help customers find automotive parts and solutions, maintain inventory, and support sales and store operations. The Retail Sales Associate helps deliver WOW! Customer Service by assisting customers, recommending products and services, supporting store performance, and contributing to a positive team environment. The role also involves keeping merchandise stocked and organized, following point-of-sale and loss-prevention procedures, learning about automotive products and promotions, and using diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions. Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old to apply.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates to support a motivated, productive store environment and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions to improve the customer experience and contribute to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock merchandise, maintain store organization, follow point-of-sale procedures and loss-prevention policies, and support proper financial management.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently using structured processes and follow company safety policies, including using required personal protective equipment.
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
- Lift, load, and deliver merchandise as required.
- Be available for a flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
