About The Position

As a full-time Retail Sales Associate, you will play a key role in driving sales, providing excellent customer service, and supporting the overall operations of our gift shops. This is an hourly, non-exempt position with a pay range of $16.00 - $19.02. Woman's Hospital is a leading specialty hospital for women and infants, recognized for exceptional patient care and a supportive work environment. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 2 years of previous experience in retail sales, key holder position, preferably in a gift shop or similar environment is required.
  • Standing for extended periods, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting, often requiring 30–50 lbs of strength for restocking and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable shopping experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting customers, assisting with inquiries, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Follow company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, returns, and exchanges.
  • Multi-tasking to flex with the needs of the customers and the store.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and training to sales associates to help them achieve individual and team sales goals.
  • Collaborate with the operations and sales team to monitor inventory levels, provide inventory feedback, and participate in a regular cadence of inventory audits.
  • Work closely with the sales team to create visually appealing displays, arrange product layouts, and maintain shop cleanliness to enhance the overall shopping environment.
  • Assist in receiving and stocking merchandise, ensuring shelves are adequately replenished.
  • Provide knowledgeable answers to questions about products, pricing, and availability.
  • Address customer concerns, resolve conflicts, and handle escalated issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist with administrative duties such as cash handling, opening and closing procedures, and maintaining accurate sales records.
  • Plans and assists with orientation of new personnel and training personnel.
