About The Position
EZCORP is hiring a Retail Sales Associate / Retail Customer Service Team Member (Pawnbroker) for its Value Pawn & Jewelry store in Miami, Florida. The role provides a structured career path in a fast-paced retail environment, with opportunities to develop skills and advance to Pawnbroker, Lead Pawnbroker (Shift Leader), and Assistant Manager. New hires begin as trainees in a five-week paid training program; completing the program results in a $0.50-per-hour raise and promotion to Pawnbroker. Employees may also pursue the Pawnbroker Certification Program for an additional $1 per hour. The Assistant Manager path includes a six-month training program. The position involves daily customer interaction, assisting with sales, and reaching mutually satisfying agreements concerning pawn items such as jewelry, electronics, and musical instruments. Team members are expected to create a friendly, courteous, and respectful customer environment. Pay is $15.00 to $16.00 per hour based on experience, with monthly uncapped bonus potential based on store and individual performance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Customer service, cashier, or retail experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test after a conditional offer.
- Adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Self-motivation, a positive and outgoing personality, and a strong work ethic.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of commonly pawned items such as tools, jewelry, firearms, or electronics.
- Sales background.

Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in person and by phone, providing excellent customer service.
- Process sales, loans, and extensions.
- Perform store opening and closing duties.
- Help customers reach mutually satisfying agreements regarding pawn items.
