About The Position

EZCORP is hiring a Retail Sales Associate / Retail Customer Service Team Member (Pawnbroker) for Value Pawn & Jewelry in Miami, Florida. The role offers customer-facing retail work in a fast-paced store environment, with a structured career path and opportunities to increase pay and advance. New hires begin as Trainees in a five-week paid training program; completion brings a $0.50-per-hour raise and promotion to Pawnbroker. Employees may continue through a Pawnbroker Certification Program for an additional $1 per hour, pursue Lead Pawnbroker (Shift Leader) opportunities, and apply for Assistant Manager roles that include six months of training.

The associate interacts with customers in person and by phone, supports sales and customer service, and helps reach mutually satisfying agreements regarding pawn items such as jewelry, electronics, and musical instruments. The position also processes loans and extensions and performs store opening and closing duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Customer service, cashier, or retail experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, positive, outgoing, and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test after a conditional offer.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of commonly pawned items such as tools, jewelry, firearms, or electronics.
• Sales background.
• Bilingual.

Responsibilities
