About The Position

AutoZone’s store teams deliver WOW! Customer Service by helping customers find the right automotive parts and solutions. Store employees maintain inventory, assist with product selection, provide advice, support sales, and help maintain a positive retail environment.

As a Retail Sales Associate, you will help exceed customer expectations while supporting sales and store operations. You will assist customers with automotive questions, recommend products and promotions, maintain merchandise and store organization, follow safety and loss-prevention procedures, and use diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions. The position offers opportunities for career growth in an essential industry.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
• Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
• Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
• Previous experience in automotive retail.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Collaborate with managers and teammates to maintain a motivated and productive store environment, support team members, and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
• Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
• Restock and organize merchandise, follow point-of-sale procedures and loss-prevention policies, and help maintain proper financial management and smooth store operations.
• Use structured processes to complete assigned tasks efficiently and follow company safety policies, including using personal protective equipment.
• Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
• Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
