About The Position

AutoZone store teams provide customer service and help customers find parts and solutions for their automotive needs. Employees maintain stocked inventory, assist with product selection, provide automotive advice, support sales, and help maintain store operations. The Retail Sales Associate delivers customer service, contributes to a productive store environment, and supports customers in an essential industry serving the motoring public.

The role includes assisting customers with automotive parts and recommendations, supporting sales goals and store performance, maintaining merchandise and store organization, and following company procedures for cash handling, loss prevention, and safety. Associates use AutoZone systems to stay informed about parts, tools, and promotions; assist with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations; and use diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
• Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
• Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
• Previous experience in automotive retail.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
• Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
• Restock and organize merchandise, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures, and support smooth store operations.
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently by following company processes and safety policies, including use of personal protective equipment.
• Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
• Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
• Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
