About The Position

The Retail Sales Associate, internally classified as Front End Specialist 1, assists customers and helps maintain the store’s appearance. The role covers customer service, merchandising, and store maintenance, with a primary focus on front-end operations. Associates are expected to embody Ollie’s Core Values: being a team player, caring, value obsessed, committed, growing, and real. The position requires a positive, customer-focused attitude and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis. The role also involves physical tasks such as lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling up to 35 pounds, and standing for extended periods. New-hire starting pay is $13.25–$14.25 per hour. Actual pay depends on factors including work location, position, experience, skill level, and qualifications, and will not be below the applicable local minimum wage.

Responsibilities

Greet and acknowledge customers as they enter and exit the store and approach the front end.
Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently.
Know current promotions and advertisements to answer customer questions and drive sales.
Support Ollie’s Army and other donation programs year-round.
Assist with receiving trucks, pricing items, merchandising products, and recovering the store.
Maintain the store’s appearance.
Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
