About The Position
AutoZone store teams provide frontline WOW! Customer Service, helping customers find the right parts and solutions for their automotive needs. Store employees maintain well-stocked inventory, assist with product selection, and provide advice that improves the shopping experience. They support sales and store operations while fostering a positive, knowledgeable retail environment. The Retail Sales Associate helps deliver WOW! Customer Service by exceeding customer expectations. The role includes assisting customers with automotive needs, recommending products and promotions, supporting store operations, maintaining product knowledge, and using diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions. The position offers opportunities for career growth in an essential industry serving the motoring public.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates to support a motivated, productive store environment; support team members and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions to enhance the customer experience and contribute to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock merchandise, maintain organization, follow point-of-sale procedures and loss prevention policies, and support proper financial management.
- Use structured processes to complete assigned tasks efficiently and follow company safety policies, including using personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Stay up to date on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
- Lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
