Retail Sales Associate – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone’s store teams provide customer service, help customers find automotive parts and solutions, maintain inventory, and support sales and store operations. The Retail Sales Associate delivers WOW! Customer Service by assisting customers with product selection and automotive advice, recommending products and promotions, and contributing to a positive and productive store environment. The role also includes stocking and organizing merchandise, following point-of-sale and loss-prevention procedures, using diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes, and complying with safety policies and PPE requirements. This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule that may include mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and contribute to a motivated and productive store environment.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions to improve customer experience and contribute to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock and organize merchandise; follow point-of-sale procedures and loss-prevention policies; and support smooth store operations.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently by following established processes and company safety policies, including using required personal protective equipment.
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions using AutoZone systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
- Lift, load, and deliver merchandise as required.
