About The Position
AutoZone store teams provide customer service and help customers find the right parts and solutions for their automotive needs. Store employees maintain inventory, assist with product selection, provide advice, support sales and store operations, and foster a knowledgeable retail environment. The Retail Sales Associate delivers customer service by exceeding expectations and helping customers with automotive parts and related needs. The role involves customer assistance, teamwork, sales, inventory management, store operations, safety compliance, product knowledge, installation services, and diagnostic support.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates to create a motivated, productive store environment; support team members and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions to improve the customer experience and contribute to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock merchandise, maintain organization, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention policies, and help keep store operations running smoothly.
- Use structured processes to complete assigned tasks efficiently and follow company safety policies and PPE requirements.
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions using AutoZone systems.
- Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
- Use diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions.
