About The Position

Holiday Oil is seeking a friendly and reliable Sales Associate to assist customers with purchases, operate the cash register, restock merchandise, and maintain a clean and safe store environment. The role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting. Holiday Oil is a family-owned Utah convenience store business that has operated for 60 years, has over 77 stores, and is continuing to grow.

Requirements

• Familiarity with electronic equipment, including cash registers and other POS systems.
• Basic math skills and proficiency in using computers.
• Effective communication skills and a strong customer focus.
• Ability to collaborate with the team to manage workload and pace effectively.
• Willingness to learn about store processes, products, and services.
• Ability to remain composed in confrontational situations.
• Capability to work in a high-volume, sometimes high-pressure environment.
• Flexibility to work a schedule that includes Sunday through Saturday.
• Availability to open and close the store as needed.
• Ability to work in cold environments, including outdoor cold weather and indoor coolers.
• Ability to work in summer heat while performing outdoor duties.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly manner.
• Accurately process transactions using the cash register and handle payments.
• Stock shelves and coolers with merchandise.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, including the sales floor, restrooms, and fuel pumps.
• Monitor fuel pumps and assist customers as needed.
• Follow safety and security procedures, including age verification for restricted products.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally.
