Retail Sales Associate – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone is seeking a part-time Retail Sales Associate to deliver WOW! Customer Service and help customers find suitable parts and solutions for their automotive needs. The role involves providing trustworthy automotive advice, recommending products and promotions, maintaining inventory and store organization, supporting store operations, and contributing to sales goals. Associates work with managers and teammates in a customer-focused retail environment, use AutoZone systems to learn about products and promotions, and use diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions. Employees must follow company processes, safety policies, and loss prevention procedures, including using Personal Protective Equipment when required.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, and weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and contribute to a motivated, productive store environment.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions to improve the customer experience and contribute to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock merchandise, maintain store organization, follow point-of-sale and loss prevention procedures, and support proper financial management and smooth store operations.
- Complete assigned tasks using structured processes and follow company safety policies, including using Personal Protective Equipment.
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
- Lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
