Retail Sales Associate – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone’s store teams deliver WOW! Customer Service by helping customers find automotive parts and solutions, maintaining well-stocked inventory, and providing product advice. The Retail Sales Associate contributes to a positive, knowledgeable retail environment by assisting customers, supporting store operations, and helping drive sales. The position offers opportunities for growth in the automotive retail industry. Associates engage with customers and provide trustworthy automotive advice, recommend products and promotions, maintain merchandise and store organization, follow point-of-sale and loss-prevention procedures, and support a safe and efficient workplace. They use AutoZone systems to build product knowledge and diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, and weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and contribute to a motivated store environment.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock and organize merchandise, follow point-of-sale procedures and loss-prevention policies, and support smooth store operations.
- Complete assigned tasks using established processes and comply with safety policies and personal protective equipment requirements.
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions using AutoZone systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
