With over 50 retail stores across the country, Urban Barn is a national retail chain offering high-quality furniture and home décor. We’re passionate about making our customers and our employees feel right at home. Here, you will enrich the customer experience while growing your experience with a well-known Canadian retailer. We are looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Retail Sales Associates (Part-Time / Full-Time). You will represent Urban Barn by offering friendly service and product knowledge to help our customers create a space they love to call home. Our stores are open 7 days a week, so we’re looking for candidates who can work a variety of shifts (i.e. weekdays, weeknights and weekends). Requirements
- At least 2 years of Retail Sales experience
- A passion for interior décor and merchandising
- Ease of using technology such as a Point-of-Sale system and iPad
- Commitment to a flexible schedule (Open to daytime, evening, and weekend shifts)
- The ability to lift and move loads up to 50 lbs / 23 kg
Responsibilities
- Guide customers in their furniture & décor choices, suggesting the best products for their needs
- Provide a warm greeting to every customer
- Establish connections with customers to build customer loyalty
- Carry out transactions (purchases, exchanges, and returns)
- Maintain the visual standards and cleanliness of the store
- Ensure product organization and maintain back-of-house operational standards
