About The Position

Floor & Decor’s Sales Associates provide customers with friendly, accurate service and support in finding products for their projects. They help maintain a fast-paced, safe sales-floor environment by keeping departments clean and well stocked. The role involves assisting customers, processing transactions, maintaining merchandise and displays, and supporting store operations. Full-time and part-time positions are available.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Knowledge of basic math skills.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure.
• Some positions may require completion of forklift certifications through Floor & Decor.
• Where permitted by state law, successful completion of a drug test is required for certification to use heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Connect with customers, ask about their projects, recommend products, and build excitement about their purchases.
• Provide exceptional customer service and exceed customer expectations.
• Maintain assigned areas in-stock, clean, shoppable, and safe.
• Work with management and team members to achieve sales goals.
• Process customer purchases at checkout using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Process refunds and exchanges according to established guidelines.
• Follow cash, check, and credit-card acceptance procedures.
• Create price tags and merchandise signs; stock, tag, and display merchandise.
• Act and work consistently with the company’s core values.
• Understand and comply with company safety processes.
• Answer the telephone according to company guidelines.
• Assist in other store areas as needed.
• Work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
