About The Position
The Veterans Canteen Service (VCS) located at the Charlotte, NC, VA Medical Center, is seeking Retail Associates who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are committed to serving America’s Heroes. VCS has delivered benefits to millions of Veterans enrolled in the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) Healthcare system since 1946. VCS is a program office within the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) that is Veteran-facing, providing America’s Veterans enrolled in VA’s Health Care System, their families, caregivers, and VA employees with reasonably priced merchandise and services essential to their comfort and well-being.
Requirements
- Resumes cannot exceed 2 pages in length, or they will be disqualified.
Responsibilities
- Assists customer in locating products & provides detailed information to enhance their shopping experience.
- Handles sales transactions efficiently using a cash register, ensuring accuracy & customer satisfaction.
- Restocks merchandise and ensures products are properly labeled for display.
- Maintains a clean & organized store environment, ensuring a pleasant & efficient shopping experience.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
