About The Position

The Retail Sales Associate promotes and sells BJ’s membership programs, including acquisition, renewals, upgrades, cross-selling, and related perks. The role also provides first-line member assistance with credit card applications, questions, merchandise returns and exchanges, product lookups, and order pickups, while delivering efficient and courteous service. Associates follow club policies and procedures, support a safe and positive member experience, help maintain daily club standards, and may work in other departments as needed. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Responsibilities

• Promote BJ’s value proposition for membership acquisition, retention, perks, and the member experience.
• Pitch membership programs and sell membership products to potential new and existing members in accordance with company policies and practices.
• Work toward established business goals and benchmarks.
• Maintain an understanding of BJ’s membership options and co-brand credit card.
• Provide first-line assistance with membership matters, credit card applications, general questions, issues, merchandise returns and exchanges, product lookups, and pickups.
• Follow tax-exempt and resale membership retention policies and procedures, including monitoring renewals and tax-exempt or resale status.
• Resolve member concerns courteously and promptly, escalating issues to the PIC or MOD when necessary.
• Assist members with BOPIC (Buy Online and Pick Up In Club) orders.
• Maintain club policies and procedures and support daily GOLD member and club standards.
• Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
