Retail Sales Associate – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone’s store teams provide customer service, help customers find automotive parts and solutions, maintain inventory, and support store operations. The Retail Sales Associate delivers customer service by assisting customers with product selection and automotive advice, recommending products and promotions, and contributing to sales goals. The role also includes maintaining merchandise and store organization, following point-of-sale and loss-prevention procedures, learning about automotive parts and promotions, and using diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions. Associates work collaboratively with managers and teammates and follow company safety policies, including using required personal protective equipment.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates to support a motivated, productive store environment and assist team members.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions to enhance customer experience and contribute to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock merchandise, maintain store organization, follow point-of-sale and loss-prevention procedures, and support smooth store operations.
- Use structured processes to complete tasks efficiently and follow company safety policies, including using personal protective equipment.
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
- Lift, load, and deliver merchandise as required.
