About The Position
EZCORP is hiring a Retail Sales Associate / Retail Customer Service Team Member (Pawnbroker) for its EZPawn location at 1354 W. Main St., Lewisville, Texas 75067. The role offers pay of $14.00 to $15.00 per hour, based on experience, with bonus potential and opportunities to increase pay and advance through a structured career path. New employees begin as Trainees in a five-week paid training program; successful completion brings a $0.50-per-hour raise and promotion to Pawnbroker. Employees may continue into a Pawnbroker Certification Program for an additional $1 per hour, pursue promotion to Lead Pawnbroker (Shift Leader), and apply for Assistant Manager, which includes a six-month training program. The role involves daily customer interaction and sales, helping customers reach mutually satisfying agreements involving pawn items such as jewelry, electronics, and musical instruments. Associates are expected to create a friendly, courteous, and respectful store environment and handle customer service, transactions, and store opening and closing duties. The posting lists hourly pay of $14.00–$15.00, monthly uncapped bonuses based on store and individual performance, health insurance, a 401(k) with company match, paid time off, holiday pay, and a store discount. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Customer service, cashier, or retail experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test after a conditional offer.
- Self-motivation, a positive and outgoing personality, and a strong work ethic.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of commonly pawned items such as tools, jewelry, firearms, or electronics.
- Sales background.
- Bilingual ability.
Responsibilities
- Greet and interact with customers in person and by phone, providing excellent customer service.
- Help customers reach mutually satisfying agreements regarding pawn items, including jewelry, electronics, and musical instruments.
- Process sales, loans, and extensions.
- Perform store opening and closing duties.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulations.
