About The Position
AutoZone store teams provide customer service and automotive parts solutions while maintaining inventory and supporting store operations. The Retail Sales Associate engages with customers, provides automotive advice, recommends products and promotions, and contributes to sales goals. The role also includes restocking merchandise, maintaining an organized store, following cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures, and complying with safety policies and PPE requirements. Associates stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions, assist with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations, and use diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and ensure positive interactions through clear, professional communication.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates to create a motivated, productive store environment; support team members and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions to enhance the customer experience and contribute to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock merchandise, maintain organization, and follow cash-handling and loss-prevention policies.
- Keep store operations running smoothly and complete assigned tasks efficiently using structured processes.
- Follow company safety policies and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
- Lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
