About The Position

Sun Tan City is seeking a part-time Retail Sales Associate for a high-energy salon environment. The role focuses on providing professional customer service, building relationships with clients, understanding and meeting their needs, and recommending products and services. Associates also help maintain salon cleanliness, meet minimum sales requirements, and work collaboratively with teammates while following company policies and procedures. The role may require working independently during a shift as business needs require.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills and knowledge.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment.
• Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes.
• Ability to bend down to pick up trash, towels, and other items from the floor.
• Ability to perform salon cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent, professional customer service and ensure clients’ needs are met.
• Engage with clients, build relationships, and understand and meet their needs.
• Recommend products and services.
• Meet minimum sales requirements.
• Multitask, including cleaning tanning beds as clients leave and engaging with arriving clients.
• Maintain cleanliness in tanning rooms, the lobby, restrooms, laundry, and storage areas.
• Work cohesively with a team in an upbeat, fast-paced salon while following company policies and procedures.
• Work independently and alone during shifts when business needs require.

Benefits

• Base pay of $11.00 per hour or more, with performance bonuses; average earnings are stated as $15.00 per hour for team members meeting performance and training criteria, but this amount is not guaranteed.
