About The Position

Batteries Plus is seeking a Retail Sales Associate who enjoys helping customers find the right products, services, and solutions. The company offers a fun and exciting team atmosphere where associates can be a hero to customers by understanding their needs and providing solutions. This role allows for the regular use of one's mind, technical know-how, and desire to help customers, while earning a good living. The position includes a guaranteed minimum pay for the first 6 months to allow ample time to learn the business, with opportunities to earn more based on performance. High-performing associates can earn over $25 per hour. Additionally, a weekend shift differential pay of $2 per hour is offered for all weekend hours worked, and a $3 per hour increase for weekend overtime hours.

Requirements

• Previous retail experience preferred
• Comprehensive understanding of the store's products
• Advanced customer service skills
• Basic math skills
• The ability to use a cash register
• Strong level of professionalism at work
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience when dealing with difficult customers
• Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred

Nice To Haves

• No prior experience with our products or services is required, as we will take care of the training; all you need is a background in customer service and sales.
• Dedicated one-on-one paid training for the first 2 to 3 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, ask questions, and determine needs
• Provide complete solutions to customer needs
• Operate a technology-based Point of Sale system to complete sales transactions
• Handle inbound phone sales/service
• Install large and small batteries in various devices
• Disassemble / reassemble phones and tablets to complete repairs
• Function as a team player
• Maintain inventory stock and manage inventory
• Ship and/or deliver to commercial accounts
• Maintain a clean and full store appearance
• Build displays to better market seasonal products
• Prepare the store for daily opening and closing
