Retail Sales Associate – Full Time
About The Position
AutoZone store teams provide customer service and help customers find appropriate parts and solutions for their automotive needs. Store employees maintain inventory, assist with product selection, and provide automotive advice while contributing to sales and store operations. The Retail Sales Associate delivers WOW! Customer Service by exceeding customer expectations and supporting the team in a retail environment. The role involves helping customers with automotive products and services, maintaining merchandise and store organization, supporting sales goals, following safety and cash-handling procedures, and assisting with basic vehicle installations and diagnostics.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions to enhance the customer experience and contribute to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock and organize merchandise, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention policies, and help keep store operations running smoothly.
- Use established processes to complete tasks efficiently and follow company safety policies, including use of personal protective equipment.
- Maintain knowledge of automotive parts, tools, and promotions using AutoZone systems.
- Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
