About The Position
AutoZone store teams provide customer service and help customers find automotive parts and solutions. Store employees maintain inventory, assist with product selection, provide advice, support sales, and help maintain store operations. The Retail Sales Associate delivers customer service, contributes to a positive store environment, and supports customers with automotive needs. The role involves assisting customers, recommending products and promotions, maintaining merchandise and store organization, following cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures, and completing tasks safely. Associates stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions, assist with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations, and use diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions. The position requires a flexible full-time schedule that may include mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock merchandise, maintain store organization, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention policies, and support smooth store operations.
- Follow structured processes, company safety policies, and PPE requirements.
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions using AutoZone systems.
- Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
- Lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
