Retail Sales Associate – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone’s store teams deliver customer service by helping customers find automotive parts and solutions, maintaining inventory, and supporting store operations. The Retail Sales Associate helps customers select products, provides automotive advice, recommends products and promotions, and contributes to sales goals and store performance. The role also supports merchandise restocking, store organization, point-of-sale procedures, loss prevention, and safety compliance. Associates use AutoZone systems to build product knowledge and diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions. This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule that may include mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old to apply.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and contribute to a motivated, productive store environment.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock and organize merchandise, follow point-of-sale procedures and loss prevention policies, and help maintain smooth store operations.
- Complete tasks using structured processes and follow company safety policies, including use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Keep current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
