Retail Sales Associate – Full Time
About The Position
AutoZone store teams provide customer service and help customers find automotive parts and solutions. Store employees maintain inventory, assist with product selection, and provide advice while supporting sales, store operations, and a knowledgeable retail environment. The Senior Retail Sales Associate delivers customer service, exceeds customer expectations, and supports the store team. The role includes assisting customers with automotive needs, recommending products and services, maintaining merchandise and store operations, following safety and loss prevention procedures, and helping customers with installations and vehicle diagnostics.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions, and contribute to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock merchandise, maintain organization, follow cash handling and loss prevention policies, and support smooth store operations.
- Use structured processes to complete tasks efficiently and follow company safety policies, including using personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Stay up to date on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
