About The Position

A new DICK'S Sporting Goods store is coming soon to Lake Nona, FL! This role is for a Retail Sales Associate, and we are looking for passionate individuals to create an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. You will be expected to help customers, demonstrate product knowledge, and uphold high brand and execution standards. This position also involves promoting company programs, adhering to safety and loss prevention policies, and maintaining confidentiality. A key aspect of this role is creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all teammates and customers, and supporting the team across the store with an all-hands-on-deck approach.

Requirements

• Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up 15 to 35 lbs. items repetitively (up to 25 times per hour).
• Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
• Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with use of a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).

Responsibilities

• Greet everyone and proactively approach customers to understand their needs and support their shopping experience.
• Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards by following established floor sets, signage requirements, price changes, inventory presentation and replenishment standards, etc.
• Promote company programs (i.e., customer loyalty program participation, warranty sales, private label credit card enrollment, etc.).
• Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures.
• Maintains confidentiality of all Company information.
• Create an inclusive store environment where everyone (teammates and customer) feels welcome, safe, and is treated with respect.
• Take an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
