About The Position
AutoZone store teams provide customer service and help customers find automotive parts and solutions. Store employees maintain inventory, assist with product selection, provide automotive advice, support sales, and help maintain store operations and a knowledgeable retail environment. The Senior Retail Sales Associate role focuses on delivering WOW! Customer Service, exceeding customer expectations, and supporting the store team. Associates assist customers, recommend products and services, contribute to sales goals, maintain merchandise and store organization, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures, and comply with safety policies. They stay informed about automotive parts, tools, and promotions, assist with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations, and use diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock merchandise, maintain store organization, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures, and support smooth store operations.
- Use structured processes to complete tasks efficiently and follow company safety policies, including using personal protective equipment.
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
