About The Position

The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for sales activities and customer service, including greeting customers, answering questions, offering assistance, suggesting items, and providing product information. The role also involves keeping the selling floor stocked, assisting with merchandise displays and organizing selling and stock areas. The associate helps education representatives process paperwork for band instrument repairs and maintains clean workspace and showroom areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Basic operating knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 pounds.
• Passion for music and music education.
• Skills in customer service, self-starting, multitasking, problem solving, customer focus, organization, and productivity.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Sales or retail experience preferred.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers by greeting them and offering assistance.
• Direct customers to product displays and suggest items.
• Provide customers with product information.
• Process payments, including checks, cash, store cards, and other credit cards.
• Assist education representatives with paperwork for band instrument repairs.
• Maintain cleanliness in workspace and showroom areas.
• Update job knowledge through educational opportunities, professional publications, and personal networks.
• Contribute to team efforts by completing related tasks as needed.
• Keep the selling floor stocked and assist with merchandise displays and organization of selling and stock areas.
