Retail Sales Associate – Full Time
About The Position
AutoZone store teams provide customer service and help customers find the right parts and solutions for their automotive needs. Store employees maintain inventory, assist with product selection, provide automotive advice, support sales and store operations, and help foster a knowledgeable retail environment. The Retail Sales Associate delivers customer service, supports customers with automotive products and solutions, and contributes to a positive store environment. The role includes recommending products and promotions, maintaining merchandise and store organization, following cash-handling, loss-prevention, and safety procedures, and assisting with certain installations and vehicle diagnostics.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates to support a motivated and productive store environment; support team members and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions to enhance the customer experience and contribute to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock merchandise, maintain store organization, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention policies, and support smooth store operations.
- Use structured processes to complete assigned tasks and follow company safety policies, including using personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
- Lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
