Retail Sales Associate (Part Time)
About The Position
At Rifle Paper Co, we believe that details matter from the artwork on the page to the way our products come to life. What began as hand-printed illustrations has grown into a lifestyle brand carried by retailers around the world. About the Role: As a Retail Store Associate, you will be a brand ambassador of Rifle Paper Co. You’ll turn every customer visit into an inspiring experience, sharing the stories behind our products and creatively helping guests find the perfect gift or home accent while maintaining visual and operational excellence. You will support the store goals by building a community of brand loyalists through authentic connections and expert product knowledge alongside a team of like-minded individuals that prioritize collaboration and value exceptional customer service. Our new store in Tampa is planned to open Fall 2026.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in specialty retail, customer service, or a luxury boutique environment preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Excellent communication skills to build trusting relationships with team and customers, finding joy in helping others.
- Detail oriented with a genuine passion for design, illustration, and the Rifle Paper Co. aesthetic.
- Collaborative team player comfortable balancing customer service with operational goals.
- Ability to creatively drive sales through outstanding customer service.
- Operate with a high degree of initiative, professionalism, and works well in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to lift, bend, and reach throughout a given shift while standing and walking around the sales floor for up to 8 hours.
- Lift, push, or pull up to 40 lbs. regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs with assistance.
- Maintains a polished, professional appearance and demeanor in compliance with company standards.
- Availability to work a varying schedule that includes evenings, weekends, holidays, or extended hours as needed by the business.

- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Design is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Represent the Rifle Paper Co. attributes and values, becoming an ambassador of the brand and its products.
- Warmly welcome every customer, sharing the unique brand story, design process, and "world of Rifle" with enthusiasm.
- Build personalized and authentic connections with our customers, enhancing their loyalty and affinity to Rifle Paper Co.
- Actively engage with customers and share product features and benefits to help each customer find the right Rifle Paper Co. products for their needs.
- Ensure the Rifle Paper Co. customer service is upheld, consistent, and executed to our brand standards at all times.
- Maintain store presentation, cleanliness, and organization that meets company expectations
- Keep up to date with current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices.
- Process customer purchases accurately using the POS system, including handling returns, exchanges, and gift wrapping.
- Assist in maintaining the store's high visual standards by restocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring all products are presented according to brand guidelines.
- Support processing incoming shipments, inventory organization and inventory counts to ensure optimal product availability for customers.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, including light cleaning of the sales floor and organizing the stockroom.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of business needs, and organizational objectives.
