About The Position

Sun Tan City is seeking a part-time Retail Sales Associate to provide friendly, professional customer service in a fast-paced salon. The role includes understanding clients’ needs, recommending tanning and wellness products and services, and helping clients look and feel their best. Team members may earn $12.50 per hour or more in base pay, with performance bonuses; the stated average earnings of $15.50 per hour are not guaranteed and depend on meeting performance and training criteria. The position offers a flexible work schedule and opportunities for advancement and leadership.

Requirements

Basic computer skills and knowledge.
Ability to provide professional customer service and build relationships with clients.
Ability to make product and service recommendations and meet minimum sales requirements.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced salon environment.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment and bend down to pick up items from the floor.
Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes.
Ability to perform cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
Ability to work independently when business needs require.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent, professional customer service and ensure clients’ needs are met.
Engage with clients, build positive relationships, and understand and meet their needs.
Recommend products and services to clients.
Meet minimum sales requirements.
Multi-task by cleaning tanning beds as clients leave and engaging new clients as they arrive.
Help maintain cleanliness in tanning rooms, the lobby, restrooms, laundry, and storage areas.
Work cohesively with a team in an upbeat, fast-paced salon while following company policies and procedures.
Work independently and alone during shifts when business needs require.
