Retail Sales Associate – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone is hiring a part-time Retail Sales Associate to provide WOW! Customer Service and help customers find automotive parts and solutions. The role supports sales and store operations by assisting customers with product selection and advice, maintaining inventory and merchandise organization, and contributing to a positive, knowledgeable retail environment. Associates use AutoZone systems to stay current on products and promotions and use diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions. The position offers opportunities for career growth in the automotive parts retail industry.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old to apply.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates to foster a motivated, productive store environment; support teammates and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock and organize merchandise, follow point-of-sale and loss-prevention procedures, and support proper financial management and smooth store operations.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently using structured processes, follow company safety policies, and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Keep current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
