Retail Sales Associate – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone’s store teams deliver customer service by helping customers find automotive parts and solutions, maintaining inventory, and supporting store operations. The Retail Sales Associate helps customers with product selection and automotive advice, contributes to sales and store performance, and works with teammates to maintain a productive, knowledgeable retail environment. The position includes using diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions, keeping current on automotive products and promotions, and following operational and safety procedures. This is a part-time role with a flexible schedule that may include mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions to enhance customer experience and contribute to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock and organize merchandise; follow point-of-sale procedures and loss-prevention policies; support proper financial management and smooth store operations.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently using structured processes and comply with company safety policies and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Stay up to date on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
