Retail Sales Associate – Full Time
About The Position
AutoZone store teams provide customer service, keep inventory well stocked, help customers select products, and offer automotive advice. The Retail Sales Associate contributes to sales and store operations while fostering a positive, knowledgeable retail environment. The role focuses on delivering WOW! Customer Service, exceeding customer expectations, and helping customers find automotive parts and solutions. The associate supports customers and teammates, recommends products and promotions, maintains inventory and store organization, follows cash-handling, loss-prevention, and safety procedures, and assists with basic installations and vehicle diagnostics. The position offers opportunities for growth in an essential industry serving the motoring public.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates to support a motivated, productive store environment and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock merchandise, maintain store organization, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention policies, and support smooth store operations.
- Use structured processes to complete assigned tasks and follow company safety policies, including using personal protective equipment.
- Stay up to date on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
