About The Position

AutoZone’s store teams provide customer service, help customers find automotive parts and solutions, maintain well-stocked inventory, and support store operations. The Retail Sales Associate delivers customer service by assisting shoppers, providing automotive advice, recommending products and promotions, and contributing to sales and store performance. The role also involves restocking and organizing merchandise, following point-of-sale and loss-prevention procedures, using diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes, and complying with safety policies, including use of personal protective equipment. Associates work with managers and teammates in a collaborative store environment and use AutoZone systems to stay current on parts, tools, and promotions. Flexible availability may be needed for mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
• Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
• Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
• Previous experience in automotive retail.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
• Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
• Restock and organize merchandise, follow point-of-sale and loss-prevention procedures, and support proper financial management and smooth store operations.
• Use established processes to complete tasks efficiently and follow safety policies, including using personal protective equipment.
• Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
• Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
• Lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
